After a ridiculously long silence...
So it's been a long time. I've been busy. the quick digest is as follows:
- Sept 24th, 2005: Finish preparations to leave Houston.
- Sept 27th, 2005: Return to Massachusetts from Houston.
- Sept 28th, 2005: Start new job at Altova in Beverly, MA.
- Oct 1st, 2005: Helen's mother dies of a terminal illness she had for six months.
- Oct 6th, 2005: Wake for Helen's mother in Quincy, MA.
- Nov 12th, 2005: Helen and I get married at the place we met, exactly 11 years to the day (and the same day of the week).
- Nov 15th, 2005: Helen is in the hospital with diverticulosis for three days (I guess as a result of wedding stress).
- Dec 2005 - Jan 2006: Helen and I begin looking for a new house.
- Jan 26th, 2006: I am laid off from Altova along with my entire department. Our house buying process is put on ice.
- Feb 3rd, 2006: I get a new job as Principle Software Engineer from the company who used to be my client at Altova. I get a raise and begin telecommuting. The company is called Sol Logic, Inc.
- Feb 15th, 2006: Helen's mother's old house is sold.
- Mar 17th, 2006: Helen and I close on our new house.
- May 18th, 2006: Helen and I move into our new house.
Like I said, I've been busy. There are many details I have of course left out.
